
Botswana Football Association (BFA) presidential hopeful Maclean Letshwiti says there is no other leader who can restore the association’s integrity other than him. Letshwiti said this on Tuesday when he was making his final presentation to be voted the president of the association in the coming election on Saturday. The seemingly over confident Letshwiti said should he not be voted into office that will be the death of Botswana football. “We are currently mourning the state of our football and if I am not voted as the president on Saturday it will be a complete death of football,” he warned. Letshwiti took his time to grill current sport administrators, saying they have failed local football and they need to go. The businessman said he is the right man for the post as he will easily bring back the association’s integrity and progress. He said his track record on administration and making things happen speaks for itself. The Mochudi-born businessman said football must be run professionally for it to become a source of income for retired footballers.
