Following the appointment of a new coach, Township Rollers management is optimistic that the team will do well to defend its BTC Premiership title and fight for other titles. Rollers management this week announced the appointment of Serbian gaffer Nikola Kavazovic to take up the Rollers head coach position following the departure of Mark Harrison. The Serbian has signed a two-year contract with the defending champions. Rollers president Jagdish Shah said they aim to keep winning as much silverware as possible. Shah said the new coach’s mandate is as clear as that – to win silverware for the club. He did not want to get to the details but declared that they aim to win the BTC Premiership cup for the third time in a row. The arrival of Kavazovic at Rollers has bolstered an already strong technical team that include Mogomotsi Mpote as assistant coach and Thabo Motang as goalkeeper coach.
