Preparations for the upcoming Gaborone City Mayor’s Marathon continues to gain momentum as more sponsors and supporters are coming on board. After Choppies became a Gold sponsor last week, Jack’s Gym has also jumped in to offer support for the marathon. The marathon, which is billed for 11 September 2017, is expected to attract 10 000 participants from Botswana and the region. Jack’s Gym has partnered with the marathon organiser to provide training facilities for all those who registered for the race. The participants will also enjoy free advice for the gym’s experienced instructors on how to prepare for the marathon. Jack’s Gym Managing Director Jagdish Shah said this week that running is the best exercise ever and the marathon provides the opportunity for the people to engage on good exercise. Shah went on to say it is Jack’s Gym’ to provide opportunity for good health of people through exercise hence the decision to be part of the GC Mayor’s Marathon. “The marathon will in some way help Jack’s Gym’ objective of good health to the people of Gaborone,” he said.
