
Ookeditse Malesu will at the end of August 2017 add to the growing list of former Botswana Football Association (BFA) CEOs who have failed to see through to the end their tenure. The BFA CEO seat seems to be the hottest in town with most of its occupants never finishing their term as they either get fired or step down. Malesu has added to this number, having tendered his resignation hardy six months in office. He will however remain the BFA CEO until the end of August 2017 as he is said to be serving his notice until 31 August 2017. BFA spokesperson Tumo Mpatane has confirmed the CEO’s resignation. Mpatane said in an interview that the association has received Malesu’s resignation letter. “The CEO will be around until the end of the month as he is winding up business in preparation for a smooth hand over,” said Mpatane. He said though the CEO is leaving business will have to continue at the association. Despite Malesu leaving his post he indicated in the resignation letter that he will not be lost to BFA.
