A RUGBY team from Botswana has visited Neath, as part of a "groundbreaking" tour of Wales. The Jaguars, from Livingstone Kolobeng College, are on a 10-day tour of the country and stopped off at Bryncoch RFC for a match. The trip is part of the college's 10-year anniversary celebrations, and saw the African team play Bryncoch RFC's youth side — but not before a traditional haka. Speaking ahead of the trip, manager Fredy Mutenheri said the youngsters would have an opportunity to train with Welsh national rugby team, as well as a seminar with referee James Jones. Mutenheri said: "This is a groundbreaking feat for high school rugby in Botswana. "The team will gain education, coaching and sports experience from their trip. The Jaguars will interact with other great players of rugby, hence helping in improving their skills." Bryncoch committee member Adrian Williams said the club was honoured to host the team — as well as an African ambassador, who surprised them with a last-minute request to watch the game.
