PPC Botswana hosted the 20th edition of the Up Kgale Hill Challenge on the 24th June 2018 attracting families, children and professional runners from across Botswana, as well as runners from Zimbabwe, South Africa and Namibia. A total of P47, 600.00 was awarded to various runners including the grand prize of P7, 500.00 for the King & Queen of the Hill Sibusiso Nzima (finishing at 49:48) and Onneile Dintwe (01:01:32) respectively. Prizes also went out to other categories including junior, veteran and master runners. For the 20th Anniversary edition of the Marathon, PPC introduced a new route, in order to accommodate the reconstruction of the Game City – Boatle road that has traditionally been a part of the route in the past.
