
Having played only three games in the 2018\19 BTC Premier League season, Mochudi Centre Chiefs supporters have already raised alarm over the team’s poor start and performance. They regret that management has not done enough to beef up the squad capable of competing well for the league title. The team has only managed to collect two points out of possible nine in first three games under Coach Philani Mabhena. Chiefs’ new season woes continued following a goalless draw against BR Highlanders after being hammered 3-0 by the current log leaders Sharps Shooting Stars. Magosi managed to secure a point against the rejuvenated Extension Gunners after playing 3 -3 in a six goals thriller at Lobatse Sports Complex. Supporters’ worry is that the management and the technical team did not do enough to bring in quality players in the past transfer window. Chiefs brought in Elvis Maleka a former player who once won league title with the team and Terrence Mandaza who was with Jwaneng Galaxy in the previous season. Mabhena, former Sankoyo Bush Bucks coach, was also brought in to revitalise the technical team, releasing Innocent Morapedi and Pontsho Moloi respectively.
