Galaxy, GU bring 2018/19 Mascom Top 8 to a resounding end Multitudes of supporters are expected to fill the Francistown Sports complex this coming weekend as the most eagerly-anticipated clash of the Mascom Top 8 finale takes place. Gaborone United and Jwaneng Galaxy will square up in the final in what will be closing chapter of the 2018/19 Mascom Top 8 season. With whopping P1.3 million prize money at stake, the two teams are expected to bring out their best performances. Gaborone United will be seeking their third title of the tournament having won it in 2013 and 2015. For the past three years the tournament has eluded GU as in most occasions they were knocked out in the semifinals of the tournament. However, this season lady luck smiled on them as they managed to reach the finals for the first time in three years after an uphill task of disposing off Township Rollers in the semis. Prior to the semis they had an easy task of knocking out minnows Miscellaneous during the last eight stage of the competition.
