Organisers of the 11th Inter Banks Competitions said their focus this year is to empower young entrepreneurs. Addressing member of the press, the competitions’ chairperson Brian Ketshabile said that as part of their corporate social responsibility they are planning to organise an entrepreneurship workshop for young people in business. “We want to invite young people who are already in business and engage a mentor who will grill them on how to run their businesses,” said Ketshabile, adding that this will depend on the amount of money raised during the competitions. The Interbank competitions which are on their 11th year and have attracted 11 financial institutions a will be held in Gaborone have in past donated to various charity organisations. Another area that the competition will focus on, according to Ketshabile, will be teaching bank employees about lifestyle diseases and having stalls were they can check themselves. The competitions starts next week and the highlight of it will be Miss Interbank pageant which will be held next week Friday at Chambers, Fairgrounds.
