Bomaid has announced sponsorship of Great BW Marathon which is said to be celebrating the country’s golden jubilee. The sponsorship, whose actual amount was not revealed by the sponsors, is said to run into thousands of Pulas for the event that will take place in Francistown, Jwaneng, Maun and Gaborone in September. Bomaid Sales and Marketing Manager, Beulah Mapitse, said they want to promote healthy living and encourage healthy lifestyle and through the sponsorship they want to demonstrate that the company cares about the wellness of the citizens. Bomaid says its reasons for sponsoring the event is because it is an opportunity to promote sports tourism and healthy lifestyle in Botswana and the Great BW Marathon promises to be a great community engagement and corporate responsibility opportunity for the brand. The first series of the marathon will be held in Francistown on the 4th of September before proceeding to Maun the next weekend. The Jwaneng installment will take place on the 18th of September before the marathon comes to Gaborone of the weekend of the 25th.
