The Mascom Top 8 competition organisers have announced the dates for the cups’ semi-final first leg. The games will be played during the last weekend of January 2017. Orapa United will on January 27, 2017 host Township Rollers at the Francistown stadium at 2000hrs. On January 29, 2017 BDF XI will take on Jwaneng Galaxy at the National Stadium from 1645hrs. Preparations are said to be going on well for all four teams, as they sharpen their arsenal for the P1, 2 Million prize money. Rollers spokesperson Bafana Pheto said they are ready for the semi-finals. Pheto said their aim this year is to win the Mascom Top 8 Cup; hence they are working hard to prepare for the coming games. For the past three years Rollers has been runner-ups of the competition. “This year we have set an objective to win the cup. So we are working really hard at training to prepare for the win,” said Pheto. However Rollers face a tough challenge in defending champions Orapa United.
