
Lady Khama Charitable Trust revealed that Botswana’s top athletes in Amantle Montsho and Dakar Rally’s first Motswana Vincent Crosbie will feature in their annual fundraising marathon on April 9. Lady Khama Charitable Trust Secretary Marcus Ter Haar said the marathon is just one of their many annual fundraising events which will be followed by Ghanzi Horse Endurance Relay and the Super Sprint Triathlon in December. He said the beneficiaries for this year activities are Bana Ba Metsi, Childline, Flying Machine, ECD Teacher Training Programme, Little Friends Day Care Centre and SOS Children’s Village. He said since their inception in 2002 the Trust has benefited over 40 organisations in Botswana and disbursed over P13 million. “We support a core group of organisations annually that have been selected due to their historic connection with Lady Ruth Khama and their continued good work in their respective areas of focus,” he said.
