BTC Premiership defending champions Township Rollers’ hunt of a new coach is nearly over. The club is expected to unveil a new foreign coach in a fortnight. Rollers secretary general Khumo Masonya confirmed that the club has shortlisted three people for the top position and they are all foreign coaches. The three men are expected to be in the country for interviews this week. Masonya refuted reports that they have already hired a coach. “I can confirm that we shortlisted three coaches for the position and we are expecting them in for interviews this coming week,” said Masonya. He could not disclose the nationalities of shortlisted coaches. This comes after reports broke this week that Rollers have appointed a Serbian coach to take on the reigns at the club. The Serbian allegedly is among those shortlisted. Masonya said he does not know why people said Rollers had hired the said coach, but assumed it could be because they had to apply for a Visa for one of them. “I do not know why but maybe it is because since the said guy needed a Visa to come here and some concluded that we had hired him,” he said.
