
Getbucks Botswana this week unveiled a P300 000 sponsorship for Premier League side, Notwane FC. The sponsorship will cover the reminder of the 2018/19 season and the coming 2019/20 season. This comes at a time when local premier league sides are struggling with finances, finding it difficult to meet their upkeep costs including paying players’ salaries and transport costs. Getbucks Botswana Managing Director, Martin de Kock, said they were aware of the challenges faced by local teams and hence they chose to partner with Notwane to help them to get back to glory days. “Today it is all about partnerships and relationships. In the past we have partnered with schools but today we are here to celebrate a new union with Notwane family. We have pledged what we have and now we are officially partners of Notwane so I urge all the players to do their best and the rest will follow because we value potential. After all hard work always beat talent and this is the beginning of a new journey,” said de Kock.
