
It has weeks since premier league outfit Jwaneng Galaxy filed a protest against the league deciding match between Township Rollers and Miscellaneous which was played on the 7th of May, however the Botswana Premier League (BPL) office has remained mum on the matter. Galaxy are yet to get a full response on the matter. Galaxy wrote to the BPL office asking for the title decider be postponed in what they deemed procedural irregularities in rescheduling the fixture. Nonetheless, the match was re-fixtured instead of awarding soft points to Rollers. Should Rollers had received soft points, Galaxy had hoped that they would have been forced a championship decider with them. However all seems to be lost since the BTC Premiership has been concluded and Rollers have been declared the champions despite Galaxy’s request for the week 30 fixtures to be suspended until their matter is dealt with.
